Critical Reflection 2 - Planning
In this CCR, I plan to create a video‑based reflection by cutting between social media clips and production footage while speaking. I want to touch on the required audience, as well as distribution points clearly and briefly.
I plan to achieve this by breaking up the following information into sections:
1. How My Product Engages Audiences
- Emotional, relatable coming‑of‑age themes
- Real‑world issues: college affordability, opportunity, pressure
- Visual + sound choices that support mood and character connection
2. Genre Choice & Audience
- Chose coming‑of‑age
- Appeals to teens, young adults, students, parents, educators
- Focus on identity, growth, and transition into adulthood
3. Audience Theories to Mention
Reception Theory: different audiences interpret the film differently- Participatory Culture: encourages TikTok edits, reels, BTS, influencer reactions
- Cultivation Theory: repeated focus on financial barriers shapes awareness
- Hypodermic Needle Theory: some viewers may take the message at face value
4. Distribution Plan

- Community foundation & scholarship organizations
Digital
