CCR 2 - Reflection
Now that I have finished my second CCR, I can definitely say this was the one I struggled with the most. I originally planned to record a simple talking video with a few photos edited in, but I decided to push myself creatively and try something more engaging. Recording the audio and adding background music was fairly easy, but the rest of the process became more complicated than I expected.
One of the biggest challenges came from the way I structured the video. At the beginning of the project, I had already planned out the exact point where I wanted to insert the audience‑engagement examples: the flyer, the official hashtags, and the Everdale University merchandise. Because those clips were pre‑placed in my timeline, I needed to make sure I had enough footage leading up to that moment. This meant the pacing of the video was not flexible; I had to record enough content to naturally build toward that section. When my first draft ended too early, I realized I needed to go back and film additional footage so the transition into the engagement examples felt intentional rather than rushed.
I also ran into technical issues transferring my footage to the computer. Some of the clips would not import correctly at first, and I spent a while troubleshooting before finally solving it by using iCloud links. Once everything was finally on my editing timeline, I was able to layer the clips, sync the audio, and assemble the final video.
Even though this CCR pushed me the most, it also taught me the most about planning, pacing, and problem‑solving in post‑production. In the end, I hope the video is more entertaining to watch than some of the other CCR's.
