Sound Editing

Today we focused on sound editing using the Essential Sound panel in Premiere Pro, specifically the Repair tools. A lot of our raw audio included unwanted background noise, cars passing by, wind hitting the mic, and the constant hum of air‑conditioning, so I used the Reduce Noise feature to minimize those distractions. Because each clip had different levels of interference, I had to go through and adjust the noise reduction on every individual piece of footage rather than applying one universal setting. This process took time, but it made the dialogue and ambient sound much cleaner and more consistent across the rough cut.
