Color Editing
I completed color editing on all of the individual clips today, working primarily in the Lumetri Color panel. Most of the footage only needed light adjustments using the basic correction tools: slight tweaks to exposure, contrast, and temperature were enough to create a consistent look across the rough cut. Because we filmed in mostly stable lighting conditions, the overall color balance stayed fairly even from shot to shot, which made editing straightforward. The goal at this stage was simply to unify the footage so nothing looked noticeably brighter, duller, or more saturated than the surrounding clips.
There are, however, a few moments that will require more detailed color work later, especially the shots where the blinds open and the lighting shifts dramatically. Those clips introduce harsher highlights and a cooler tone that does not match the rest of the sequence, so they will need secondary color correction once the rough cut is completed. For now, I focused on establishing a clean baseline across the timeline so that the next round of editing can target those specific problem areas without disrupting the overall visual continuity. As we move forward, refining those transitions will help the final film feel smoother and more intentional.
