Case Study - Narrative
I completed a coming‑of‑age case study on the TV show The Tailor, which I organized into three main sections. The first section focused on the themes that appear throughout the plot, including the narrative structure and central conflicts. The second section examined the story arcs, drawing on Todorov’s narrative theory and the show’s key storytelling techniques. The final section analyzed the characters, exploring the main narrative arc, Propp’s character types, limiting factors, characters who do not fit traditional roles, shifts in society reflected in the show, and the producers’ intentions behind these choices. his case study will help me decide how to frame the characters in my own film and understand how they align with different narrative theories.
